Volunteers participate in teams devoted to helping in the weekly cleaning of the Church. These teams help maintain a fresh and clean environment for our Church worship services.

This committee strives to ease the sorrow following the death of a loved one. This involves assisting families in the many aspects of funeral planning (liturgy, choir, servers, ushers and so on), plus offers a post funeral luncheon if desired.

If a funeral luncheon is requested by a family, this committee consists of parishioners who on a rotating basis, prepare and help serve the meal.

Volunteers who work in collaboration with our parish clergy to make Christ present to our adult seniors and those persons or families who cannot attend Sunday Mass due to illness, physical disability, or other issues. This ministry aims to help the parishioners feel remembered and appreciated by passing on our concern for their emotional and spiritual well-being. On a monthly basis, this Committee meets to prepare church donation envelopes for mailing to our parishioners. They may also be asked on occasion to assist in preparing special mailings. For more information, contact Charlotte Mudd at 502.271.8603 (cell).
This ministry takes calls to our Parish for help and reviews these requests to see what assistance can be provided. An evaluation is made to determine what basic needs can be met such as food, rent, utilities, financial counseling and referrals for ongoing assistance.

This group of dedicated parishioners meet on a regular basis to provide beautiful quilts to assist in fundraising efforts for the parish.

This committee supports the local Red Cross at several parish sponsored blood drives held on our campus each year. By involvement in scheduling promotion, assisting donors and more, volunteers assist the Red Cross in their mission of helping save lives.

This group meets monthly after attending noon Mass to share lunch, discuss activities, and often have guest speakers. They are involved in several parish and community outreach programs, plan field trips, and enjoy the opportunity to share in fellowship.

This ministry helps to coordinate, communicate, and promote participation in programs and issues of social concern that are relevant to our faith’s respect for all human life from the moment of conception to natural death. Service opportunities are offered both within our parish and outreach into our community to those in need.

Organized in March, 1966, the St. Athanasius Scouting program has helped 91 Scouts achieve the highest Scouting Rank of Eagle. Pack 366 is open for ages 5-10 years, and Troop 366 is the next step up in the program. Involved in many parish projects and activities, Scouts have helped our parish grow as they enjoyed all the activities and field trips that Scouting provides.
