The St. Athanasius Parent-Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) is a dedicated group that plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for our students, staff, and parents. Our P.T.O. is committed to fostering a strong sense of community by hosting various school-related activities, providing volunteer opportunities, and organizing fundraising events that benefit the entire school.
The PTO plays a vital role in enhancing the school environment and supporting our students and staff through various initiatives. They purchase essential items such as playground equipment, first aid supplies, desks, and window shades. The PTO also coordinates parent volunteers for the Teacher’s Aide Room and classrooms, ensuring that additional help is always available. Their support extends to school events, where they provide and serve refreshments, like at the Christmas Program.
Additionally, the PTO awards two $1,000 academic scholarships to graduating 8th graders and supplies Spirit Wear items, such as sweatshirts and sweatpants for girls. In recent years, they have completed significant projects, including renovating the Teacher’s Aide Room, purchasing a new cafeteria awning, and installing a bench in the Butterfly Garden.

You can contribute to the success and happiness of your child’s school year by taking part in what goes on at St. A. All parents are welcome and encouraged to share their time, talent and ideas at our monthly meeting. We meet every second Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the cafeteria.
For upcoming meeting dates, see the calendar section of the Tuesday’s Thoughts. It is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and be an integral part of the school community. Feel free to contact us through the school office.
