Adult Education

Baptism Team
St. Athanasius offers five scheduled Baptism sessions for parents and godparents throughout the year. Parents and godparents are all encouraged to attend sessions and we have information on how they can support each other in bringing up their child in the Catholic faith. Children’s Church
Children’s church provides the Liturgy of the Word during Sunday mass for children from preschool to grade 6. They are dismissed for the 11:30 mass only. If interested, please contact Valerie Minter at 640-0376.
Formation Committee

G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith Together)

Men of St. Athanasius

Parish Religious Education Preparation (PREP)
This program provides religious formation for K-8 children who attend public or private schools. Adults interested in sharing their faith experiences and participate in catechesis are encouraged to join this program. Currently they meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 pm. R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
The RCIA is a discernment process and a journey of faith for those seeking Baptism or full Communion into the Catholic faith. Parish members are encouraged to sponsor a candidate or catechumen, be part of the RCIA team, or support other activities associated with RCIA. Vacation Bible School

Life Giving Bread
An online bible study group available to people who are homebound or who do not want or have the time to make it to meetings. With this group, people study and participate on their own time, with the goal of studying the Bible according to each week’s assigned study topic. There is the option to post one’s prayer intentions, comments, and respond to other member’s comments on the groups private chat room. The website is www.lifegivingbread.com.
