BRING YOUR BLESSED PALMS TO ST. ATHANASIUS CHURCH BEFORE ASH WEDNESDAY

As we prepare for Ash Wednesday, we invite you to bring your blessed palms from last year’s Palm Sunday to be burned and transformed into ashes. This simple yet powerful tradition helps us enter the season of Lent with humility and reflection. The ashes, used to mark our foreheads on Ash Wednesday, serve as a reminder of our need for repentance and renewal.

A collection container will be placed at the back of the church for your palms. Thank you for taking part in this meaningful Lenten tradition.

Join us for the Distribution of Ashes on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at St. Athanasius Church, :

Ash Wednesday Mass – 8:00 a.m.
Ash Wednesday Liturgy of the Word – Noon
Ash Wednesday Mass – 6:30 p.m.
